About the position

At Intercam Banco, we are currently seeking a Chinese to Spanish translator to serve as a strategic and cultural liaison between our commercial teams and Asian companies established in Mexico.

The primary objective of this role is to facilitate seamless, empathetic and professional communication with executives, managers and representatives of Chinese companies, thereby contributing to the effective closure of financial transactions.

As a representative of our company, you will be responsible for accompanying commercial specialists in key meetings, business visits and integration processes with new clients.

• Translate conversations, materials and documentation from Chinese to Spanish and vice versa.
• Please join our commercial teams on their visits to Asian companies.
• It is vital to facilitate cultural and business understanding and expectations between the parties involved.
• It is important to establish trust and rapport with Chinese-speaking executives.
• It is essential to collaborate closely with the product, compliance and customer service teams.

Qualities

• Education: Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Languages, International Trade, Business, International Relations, or a related discipline.
• Language: I am proficient in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and Spanish.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in translation or interpretation roles within a corporate or commercial context, as well as a fundamental understanding of the business and financial environment.
• Key competencies: The key competencies required for this role include intercultural empathy, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, a professional approach, adaptability and diplomacy, a collaborative attitude, and executive presentation.
